Dr Lena von Schuckmann

Dr Lena von Schuckmann is a consultant Dermatologist and a Fellow of the Australasian College of Dermatologists.

Lena understands the importance of skin health and how it relates to emotional and physical well-being. She works within a multidisciplinary team at Vera to achieve optimal outcomes for her patients, as she believes that skin is treated best from the inside out.

Lena takes great pride in her work and is committed to providing compassionate, personalised and wholistic care.

Her goal is to enable people to heal, and to live happily in their own skin.

 As a dedicated clinician researcher, Lena has completed a PhD on understanding the natural history of melanoma and identifying risk factors for tumour recurrence. She currently holds a position as a senior research fellow at the University of Queensland, where her research is focused on prevention, early detection and treatment of skin cancer.

 

Lena works as a consultant dermatologist at the Sunshine Coast University Hospital and is involved in teaching dermatology trainees and medical students.
