Patient Code of Conduct.
At Vera, we are committed to providing high-quality healthcare services in a safe and respectful environment. We believe that open communication, mutual respect, and shared responsibility are essential components of a positive patient experience. To ensure the well-being and satisfaction of all our patients, we have established the following Patient Code of Conduct:
Respect for Others:
Treat all staff, healthcare providers, and fellow patients with courtesy and respect. Avoid any behaviour that may be considered discriminatory, offensive, or disrespectful.
Communication:
Provide accurate and complete information about your medical history, symptoms, and concerns to enable effective care. Ask questions, seek clarification, and communicate openly with your healthcare team and our Patient Advocates.
Punctuality:
Arrive on time for scheduled appointments to facilitate efficient and timely care for all patients.
Adherence to Treatment Plans:
Follow the prescribed treatment plans, medications, and therapies as directed by your healthcare provider. Please notify your treating practitioner if you decide to stop treatment, or of any challenges or concerns related to your treatment plan.
Patient Safety:
Follow safety guidelines and instructions provided by healthcare professionals and Patient Advocates. Report any safety concerns or incidents promptly to the Patient Advocate on reception.
Confidentiality:
Respect the privacy and confidentiality of other patients and their personal information. Whilst we do all that we can to protect the privacy and confidentiality of our patients and their personal information, it is possible that in shared spaces, information may be overheard or seen by others. Understand that discussing other patients’ information is not acceptable.
Financial Responsibilities:
Be aware of your financial responsibilities, including co-payments and any outstanding balances. Communicate with our team to address any financial concerns or questions.
Compliance with Policies:
Adhere to all facility policies, including those related to visitor guidelines, smoking, and other relevant regulations. The clinic and its grounds are a designated non-smoking zone.
Feedback and Concerns:
Provide constructive feedback to help us improve our services. Report any concerns or complaints to the Practice Manager.
Personal Responsibility:
Take responsibility for your own health and well-being by adopting a proactive approach to your healthcare.
